After breakfast, we walk through a stunning cave that takes us to the base of Tignousti (3800m). Spectacular landscapes filled with shepherd tribes surround us. The land is painted in ochre and red hues. Camp in Iblouzen, a gathering place for many nomads.
6 hours walking – Ascent: 1000m -
We hike across a dry plateau where many nomads (Imaghan) graze their animals during the summer. We descend to the famous Tessaout Valley, a true oasis with countless small fields. Mudbrick houses cling to the slopes. Rich in minerals, with massive rocky outcrops. Our camp is at 2500m.

A relaxed walking day to explore rural life. From Tessaout n’Ofella, we follow a gentle path up to high-altitude shepherd huts. Passing Azib Assa and Azib Tagoulzit, we eventually reach the summit of Tizi n’Tichki n’Ait Affan (2915m). Another breathtaking view of M’Goun awaits. We descend to the shepherd huts of Tichki and climb again through a red-earth landscape. We camp in Igli n’Tichki (2900m), a perfect spot near the south face of M’Goun.

We descend further toward the villages. By late August, walnuts are already being harvested. We explore traditional architecture. Local transport takes us to the Zen Ecolodge, where a comfortable bed and warm shower await. Rest.
There’s an opportunity to learn the secrets of making a good tagine. -
Local transport takes us to the starting point of the hike (Aguerzga). We walk all day with our feet in the water—a refreshing activity on this hot summer day. Rural life unfolds before our eyes: women washing in the river, children playing, donkeys carrying heavy loads… and the figs are ripe!
5 hours walking -
Optional: Visit to Ait Benhaddou (a detour of at least 1.5 hours). This earthen ksar is a UNESCO World Heritage site and has been the backdrop for many films. Dinner at your leisure in Marrakech; overnight stay at the hotel.
